crazy headbands, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and Paper Lanterns

What a great first week!

I have to say, if nothing else, we all learned some patience and flexibility this week. The students were troopers when it came to schedule confusion, lack of locker hand-out, etc. I am very proud of how they handled the week.

In class this week:

*we shared significant numbers by wearing headbands around with cards sticking out of them (hopefully i'll be able to post some pictures soon)

*the students learned about me by playing a Who Wants to be a Millionaire game

*students created their own Who Wants to Be a Millionaire game (we didn't make it to the lab this week, but will get there soon to type up the games)

*we created handmade paper lanterns to express ourselves which are now BEAUTIFULLY decorting our classroom!

*we set up our binders so we're ready to go on Monday

*students were given their graphing calculators to get familiar with over the weekend

*we talked about expectations and guidelines

We start Chapter 1 on Monday, which is all about statistics!

Have a great weekend!

What a Great 1st Day!

It was such a pleasure meeting all of my students today! I hope they had a wonderful day. Ask them about the headband activity we did in class today! They were all such great sports even though i KNOW some of them really didn't want to. At least they left math today knowing their teacher is a little crazy :-)
